Vinyl Jen Vinyl DJ London DJ Select & Spin

It was my pleasure to DJ for Hannah & Jon at The Hackney Co. way over in East London! Such a great couple, easy going and really good fun. So were their friends and family, what a lovely bunch! Here’s the Newlyweds choosing records…

The gorgeous Newlyweds…

It was my first time at The Hackney Co. and what a fab venue it is with an utterly amazing team of staff, headed up that night by the exceptional Eva and her crew (special shout-out to Mary, she was so cool!) It’s a dedicated events venue, their set up is brilliant, and they run the place so efficiently that the evening went really smoothly. They have their own sound system and groovy disco lights too, which really added to the atmosphere. You should definitely consider it as the location for your Wedding, Birthday Party or Corporate Event. I’m delighted to be on their Recommended Supplier List. Here’s some more pics from the evening and click through to watch the Reel at the bottom…

Oh you can’t beat a Pub Wedding and this one was an absolute beauty in the heart of Barnes, at the gorgeous pub on the River Thames, the fabulous Bull’s Head. Such a great venue and setting. Held upstairs in the Melrose Room, with it’s floor to ceiling windows which overlook the Thames, being part of Conall & Sanela’s wedding celebration was an absolute joy!

Conall and Sanela had been together for a long time, 21 years in fact, before they finally tied the knot and they made it lots of fun for all involved, including me, I’m so glad they found me!

We were lucky enough to book Vinyl Jen for our wedding party with sixty guests. Jen really added to the evening with style and sophistication, reading the room perfectly and playing all the right genres of music to get everyone up on the dance floor. People loved being able to choose a track or two from Jen's extensive vinyl collection which would then go straight onto a turntable. Jen will make your party / event go with a real swing! ~ Conall & Sanela

A little section for the Newly Weds favourite Vinyl Records

They both loved the idea of Select & Spin and my retro collection and because they are also Vinyl lovers themselves, I created a section for them to pop their own favourites in! Also, I must give a shout out to my Husband Adam Waite, who made Conall’s wedding suit, below, doesn’t he look dapper?

Conall looked very smart in his Adam Waite Tailored Suit

Months in the planning, they pulled together a room full of the most lovely friends and family and it was my pleasure to spin the Vinyl Records they chose from my Select & Spin boxes. Here’s some pics…

If you’re looking for a venue for a Party or Wedding in a lovely setting, in and around London, I definitely recommend The Bull’s Head in Barnes. Even the staff are wonderful, I cannot fault it as a location.

And finally, here’s a few pics of the set up with my Son Milo, who’s my Rookie Roadie! He does such a good job. Between him and m Hubby Adam, we’re a great team!

What a glorious time I had DJing in the foyer of the Sloane Square Hotel for a few days during Chelsea in Bloom! The fabulous Miami inspired floral display out the front brought visitors flocking to take photos and my music and records brought them inside to enjoy the vibe and sit down for a cocktail or stay up for a dance! The hotel won Bronze for their display which was very deserved!

I had the pleasure of spinning the best disco tracks for the Disco Head Dancers from Dc² Entertainment & Dance Co who were dancing outside the front of the Hotel, which inspired the whole team to delight the crowd with the YMCA dance and what a giggle it was! Watch whole video below…

I have to boast about the team at Sloane Square Hotel and The Knox, the bar downstairs where I DJ regularly. They are such a great bunch of people and a lot of fun, as you can see from the entertaining YMCA video, and I love working with them. Here’s a few of them, from Heather the MD of Sloane Square Hotel and Fab, Manager of The Knox, to Stuart and his lovely Front of House Staff who literally can’t do enough for everyone. Here they are loving their jobs….

And here’s a few more pics of the guests and visitors who popped in, and joined in, with Select & Spin, choosing a great soundtrack for the event. If this doesn’t make you want to come to London for the Flower Show and Chelsea in Bloom, then I don’t know what will! Hope to see you there next year and consider booking a room at Sloane Square Hotel! Check out these happy people…

I had the absolute pleasure of doing my very first “Select & Spin'“ for Ruairi and Emily at their spectacular Wedding in Oxfordshire.

If Carlsberg did weddings, well Antonia from @honour_and_pop smashed it for the adorable couple Ruairi & Emily. I’m so glad they found me to DJ for them and inspire the new concept of “Select & Spin”. It was a glorious wedding and the best fun I’ve had at a wedding since my own!

So many of their lovely, interesting, incredibly friendly guests got into the spirit and I had a great time chatting about the vinyl with them, in fact, the music nearly ran out a couple of times, I was so distracted! The venue a luxurious @boutiquemarquees in a field near Emily’s family home.

“You were really really amazing yesterday, thank you so much! Exactly what we were after!” ~ Ruairi Keeley, Groom

“Jen exceeded all expectations, delivering an unforgettable afternoon of musical joy, with every track handpicked by the guests. No one wanted it to end, and everyone was asking for more!” ~ Antonia Roskill, Honour & Pop, Wedding & Party Planner

Some of the standout tracks requested ranged from Tina Turner “Private Dancer”, Michael Jackson “Billie Jean”, The Specials “A Message to you Rudy” (Emily’s Dad!), Dire Straits “Romeo & Juliet”, Neil Diamond “Sweet Caroline”, Luther Vandross “Never Too Late”, The Gap Band “Oops Upside Your Head” and Bruce Springsteen “Glory Days”. So much fun because I wouldn’t normally get to play that mix on a normal night!

Here’s an album of pics from the day and right at the bottom a link to the Reel!
