Lucy the Founder chose some cracking tracks!

It was a delight to DJ for one of my favourite brands, Never Fully Dressed, for their Pop-Up Launch at the Anthropologie store on King’s Road in Chelsea! Dolled up in their gorgeous little Tilly Mini Dress, which they gifted me and which I felt amazing in, I met so many really lovely customers who popped in to browse the new collection, enjoy a cocktail and choose some groovy tunes for me to play. They loved “Select & Spin”, a cool & quirky extra touch to event. It was a pleasure to meet Lucy, Founder of NFD, and witness and experience in person her amazing energy, what a fabulous Woman she is, I may even have a girl crush on her!

I do love a “launch night” and this one at Boxcar Fire & Wine in Marylebone was an absolute blast! It was actually a “relaunch”, a rebrand of their previous restaurant, and they’d invited lots of cool people, local people, PR people, industry people, Influencers and a fab bunch of fun loving foodies, to enjoy wine, cocktails and nibbles of their finest food. Their menu is a meat lover’s paradise, best sampled to be believed!

I was invited along to DJ because they loved the idea of “Select & Spin” and giving their guests an interactive music experience to top off their wonderful hospitality. It went down a treat! My record request rack was never empty, as the fun and friendly guests chose hit after hit from my collection of commercial classics. Naturally, I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Boxcar Fire & Wine is a fab place to meet, eat & drink and soak up the atmosphere of marvellous Marylebone. Thanks once again to them for booking me to DJ this special event, I had a ball, the whole team were terrific to work with and I certainly hope to be back again soon, spinning the tracks at a future event. How cool it was to be back in Control Room B at Battersea Power Station soon for another launch event, this time for Heartcore Pilates, who have now opened a new studio there. It was fab night, there were so many lovely, healthy people there which created such a nice vibe, that and the music of course! Here are a few photos (including me with my 16 yr old Milo, who helped me set up, he’s my Rookie Roadie!) but I also made a short Reel for Instagram which you can watch here!

On 13th February I had the pleasure of DJing “Select & Spin” at The Olympic Studios in Barnes, London, to celebrate the big launch of the Bridget Jones Movie, Mad About The Boy!

There were a few screenings that evening and the film goers, members and non-members, were welcomed into the Private Members Bar for a drink and to choose some tunes! Here’s some pics of the evening and the lovely guests who browsed my Vinyl Records and selected some really great tracks!
