What a glorious time I had DJing in the foyer of the Sloane Square Hotel for a few days during Chelsea in Bloom! The fabulous Miami inspired floral display out the front brought visitors flocking to take photos and my music and records brought them inside to enjoy the vibe and sit down for a cocktail or stay up for a dance! The hotel won Bronze for their display which was very deserved!

I had the pleasure of spinning the best disco tracks for the Disco Head Dancers from Dc² Entertainment & Dance Co who were dancing outside the front of the Hotel, which inspired the whole team to delight the crowd with the YMCA dance and what a giggle it was! Watch whole video below…

I have to boast about the team at Sloane Square Hotel and The Knox, the bar downstairs where I DJ regularly. They are such a great bunch of people and a lot of fun, as you can see from the entertaining YMCA video, and I love working with them. Here’s a few of them, from Heather the MD of Sloane Square Hotel and Fab, Manager of The Knox, to the lovely Front of House Staff who literally can’t do enough for everyone. Here they are loving their jobs….

And here’s a few more pics of the guests and visitors who popped in, and joined in, with Select & Spin, choosing a great soundtrack for the event. If this doesn’t make you want to come to London for the Flower Show and Chelsea in Bloom, then I don’t know what will! Check out these happy people…

Good to be back at Control Room B

Look at those original contols, so cool, you should visit!

How cool it was to be back in Control Room B at Battersea Power Station soon for another launch event, this time for Heartcore Pilates, who have now opened a new studio there. It was fab night, there were so many lovely, healthy people there which created such a nice vibe, that and the music of course! Here are a few photos (including me with my 16 yr old Milo, who helped me set up, he’s my Rookie Roadie!) but I also made a short Reel for Instagram which you can watch here!

I was back by popular demand at The Hart Street Tavern in Henley for another Vinyl Night! Yet again, another fabulous Henley crowd came down to choose some tunes. Here’s a few snaps and you can watch the full Reel here!

I had a great time DJing for my client Helen at her absolutely fabulous 50th Birthday Party! The venue was the rather lovely Badgemore Park Private Golf Club near Henley, on a glorious early April evening. I have to say, Helen’s friends were lovely and a lot of fun. They had a great time selecting records from my Select & Spin boxes and chose the best soundtrack for the night! But then, 50th Birthday Parties are always good fun, these people know how to party!

“Jen thank you for last night! Everyone loved it, especially me!” ~ Helen, the Birthday Girl

Post set up sound check!

The Iconic Battersea Power Station

Control Room B, awesome venue, and the poster says on the tin what the Vinyl App is all about!

I was so excited to get booked for this particular event, partly because I hadn’t yet DJed at Battersea Power Station, plus I just love a launch night for something new and shiny, there’s always a buzz! When Jordan got in touch looking to book me for “Select & Spin”, he told me the name of his app and how “appropriate” it would be to have me there with my Vinyl Records, it made sense! Firstly, check out this Reel I made of the journey from the underbelly of the Power Station up Control Room B, it was crazy good fun and such a privileged experience!

Vinyl Night with “Select & Spin” at The Hart St. Tavern in Henley was great fun! This was a new night they launched, every Saturday from March to May, various DJ’s all playing great tunes on Vinyl only. I really enjoyed it, Henley people are genuinely lovely and a lot of fun, and I was delighted that such a great crowd came down and got into the spirit of S&S, choosing brilliant tunes all night! Here’s some pics of the night plus you can watch the REEL here!

It was my pleasure to DJ Louise’s 50th Birthday at fabulous Dog & Fox in Wimbledon Village. Louise absolutely loves retro and nostalgic music and loved the idea of offering “Select & Spin” to her guests, having already experienced it at a friend’s Birthday Party back in November.

Lucky for me, Louise’s friends were the perfect party people and totally got into the spirit of S&S by selection some of the best tune I have in my collection. It was a great night all round. Thanks for the booking Louise. x

I highly recommend The Dog & Fox as a party venue, it’s in a great location, right in the heart of Wimbledon Village, and Riley is the Woman to get in touch with to discuss it. Click through to see my best pics of the happy party people…

On 13th February I had the pleasure of DJing “Select & Spin” at The Olympic Studios in Barnes, London, to celebrate the big launch of the Bridget Jones Movie, Mad About The Boy!

There were a few screenings that evening and the film goers, members and non-members, were welcomed into the Private Members Bar for a drink and to choose some tunes! Here’s some pics of the evening and the lovely guests who browsed my Vinyl Records and selected some really great tracks!

What a great night DJing “Select & Spin” for a fun and classy Christmas do at the fabulous Michelin Star restaurant @elystanstreet, on Chelsea Green. Such a nice location and wonderful staff.

Thanks Charlie, George, Talia and Satorie for looking after me so well, you guys are awesome, and to my client Stirling Square for booking me. 🙏

My clients, Stirling Square, were really lovely and got into the swing of Select & Spin and had such a fun night they didn’t want it to end.

“I cannot begin to explain how happy we were with last night. It turned out to be above and beyond what we had expected, and this was down to how amazing the music was. You looked absolutely amazing and played the perfect arrangement of music and sound effects, everyone was so complimentary of you, the music and the whole pick and choose concept, so thank you!” ~ Jemima, Stirling Square

Also, massive thanks to Hubby @adamwaitetailoring for being my Roadie!

Chelsea Green is a special part of London, pitching up there for a gig was really nice. I’m so lucky to have these opportunities and to hang out and party with fab, interesting, music loving people.

Here are some photos from a great gig!

Oh what a night!! I had so much fun DJing “Select & Spin” at the fabulous @cliftonnurseries in Maida Vale in late November! I was set up in their “Fern Room”, which is one of their event spaces, and it was a glorious evening, their Christmas Shopping Event for the “Friends of Clifton”, and what a delightful bunch of people came to shop, drink and boogie to some great tunes chosen by THEM!!

Clifton is the oldest garden centre in London, opened in 1851, and it’s a little green oasis of picturesque glasshouses, packed with a stylish selection of plants, flowers and trees, as well as a gorgeous tea room and event spaces, right beside Little Venice. Plus, I can’t praise the staff enough, they are an absolutely adorable crew of passionate plant AND party people!

If you haven’t visited, then you must, especially leading up to Christmas because it’s all sparkly right now.

Big hugs to @domenicosgrazing and Darren for booking me.

“I booked Jen & her amazing Select & Spin for our Christmas members event and she was the talk of the evening! An amazing concept that allows your guests to interact with Jen throughout the night and even better is that YOU are selecting the tunes. From start to finish Jen was an absolute dream to work with and I’m already thinking of events I can book her for again!” ~ Domenico Leccacorvi, Brand Experience Manager

Pics below from a great night and click through at the end to watch the Reel!

This was the longest but most fun of my life so far, in the most amazing location. I was doing “Select & Spin” at a fabulous private party, a joint 50th, for an old MTV buddy Brian. An all-day party, 12 noon till late!

Jen brought our party to life. Her selection of Vinyl was amazing, and all our guests have since mentioned how much they enjoyed the Select and Spin idea. Highly recommended.” ~ Brian & Scarlett

I eventually decided to take my boots off which gave me a new lease of life, in fact, I felt invincible in my stocking soles and just kept going until they eventually switched to an Apple playlist so I could go home. 🤪 I did well though, I have good stamina, and it helps when the guests are choosing the tunes!!

Here are some pics of the location, my booth, the music loving party people and lots of the tracks they chose!

Many thanks to Soho House for having me over to DJ “Select & Spin” at High Road House in Chiswick. I’ve DJed at Soho House before and, a few years ago, hosted my then concept “Quatro Nights” at High Road House, so it was nice to be back. I’m a long time Soho House Committee Member (10 years!) and have a huge affection for them, so DJing is always a fab experience there.

Anyway, everyone had the best time, the members present as well as the friends I had in tow. The party vibes were strong and the guests chose the best selection of tunes. Lots of cool and definitely lots of kitsch!!

The staff & service were exemplary too, can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. Looking forward to doing another “Select "& Spin” at another house soon, watch this space…

Some pics below but not many as photos are not allowed in the clubs (I asked permission from the Boss)

I was delighted to bring my beloved Technics & Vinyl for another “Select & Spin”, to help celebrate George & Lydia’s wedding the grounds of Lydia’s parents’ beautiful home in yet another stunning @boutiquemarquees and it was an absolute pleasure working with Jules from @moseandweddings, what a star she is. And what a beautiful couple!

It’s such a great way to break the ice and get the party started early, so tactile, interactive and great fun! They were an awesome bunch who got into the spirit, choosing their favourite tracks from my nostalgic and retro collection of records. Thank you lovely people, you rocked!

“Thank you so much for Saturday Jen! You were amazing and so much fun, everyone loved you!” ~ Lydia, Bride

Here are some, lots, of photos from a great day and scroll right down to watch the Reel…

I had the absolute pleasure of doing my very first “Select & Spin'“ for Ruairi and Emily at their spectacular Wedding in Oxfordshire.

If Carlsberg did weddings, well Antonia from @honour_and_pop smashed it for the adorable couple Ruairi & Emily. I’m so glad they found me to DJ for them and inspire the new concept of “Select & Spin”. It was a glorious wedding and the best fun I’ve had at a wedding since my own!

So many of their lovely, interesting, incredibly friendly guests got into the spirit and I had a great time chatting about the vinyl with them, in fact, the music nearly ran out a couple of times, I was so distracted! The venue a luxurious @boutiquemarquees in a field near Emily’s family home.

“You were really really amazing yesterday, thank you so much! Exactly what we were after!” ~ Ruairi Keeley, Groom

“Jen exceeded all expectations, delivering an unforgettable afternoon of musical joy, with every track handpicked by the guests. No one wanted it to end, and everyone was asking for more!” ~ Antonia Roskill, Honour & Pop, Wedding & Party Planner

Some of the standout tracks requested ranged from Tina Turner “Private Dancer”, Michael Jackson “Billie Jean”, The Specials “A Message to you Rudy” (Emily’s Dad!), Dire Straits “Romeo & Juliet”, Neil Diamond “Sweet Caroline”, Luther Vandross “Never Too Late”, The Gap Band “Oops Upside Your Head” and Bruce Springsteen “Glory Days”. So much fun because I wouldn’t normally get to play that mix on a normal night!

Here’s an album of pics from the day and right at the bottom a link to the Reel!
